Second-ranked Wauzeka-Steuben easily handled visiting Pecatonica 69-39 in a nonconference boys basketball game Monday night. 

The Hornets, who are ranked second in the state in Division 5 in two polls, used good play making, shooting and defense to improve to 4-0 overall. They are 2-0 in the Ridge and Valley Conference.

The Hornets built a 33-15 halftime lead en route to the victory.

Carter Lomas led all scorers with 25 points. Gavin Ralph netted 17 and Jake Reichmann had 10.

Wauzeka-Steuben will next travel to Ithaca to take on the Bulldogs on Dec. 19.
