Patricia A. Prochaska, 76, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at the Divine Rehabilitation Center in Fennimore. 

She was born Nov. 19, 1943, in San Pedro, Calif., the daughter of Ambrose and Eleanor (Wilkins) Gleason. 

Patricia was married to Lawrence Prochaska, and they later divorced. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Good Samaritan and later for the Prairie Convalescent Center. Patricia also assisted in the daily operation of the Pine Tree Inn with her partner Chester Barr. 

She is survived by her children, Christine (Jeffrey) Byars, Melissa (Gary) Whigham, Jesse (Tracy Moseley) Prochaska, Lori (Robert) Jung and Pamela (Zac) Hinrichs; her brother, Robert (Betty) Gleason; her sisters, Kathi (Curt) Freymiller, Rita (Michael) Ferrie; sister-in-law Mary Sue Gleason; her grandchildren, Lindsay, Sarah, Matthew, Christopher, Chelsee, Samantha, Austin and Jimmy; along with six great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her great-grandson, Dominic; her brother, Thomas Gleason; her sister, Mary Lou Coudray; her husband, Lawrence; and her partner, Chester Barr.

A Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish in Prairie du Chien, with Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating, and a private family interment later at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fennimore. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. 

The Garrity Funeral Home, of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family.
