Mother Teresa said, “Do ordinary things with extraordinary love.” I love attending Prairie Catholic School because...

I have been attending Prairie Catholic School since pre-K. There are many reasons I am here and love the school. First is the small classes. It teaches respect toward one another, and you get to know each other 10 times better than you already do. Next is Adoration, Benediction and silent time. During this time, we get to have time to ourselves with God. My third reason is religion class; this class is where we get rewarded for our great deeds and service work around the community. For example, watching Sister Acts 1 and 2, “Breakthrough,” and “Miracles for Heaven,” and we also get snacks for a test or any projects we do like our Saints program every year. Fourth and foremost is the service projects we attend to. To help the community, we have moved wood chips, collected food for a food drive, sandbagged during floods and cleaned the church.

Prairie Catholic wouldn’t be what it is without our teachers, staff, volunteers and community. The first person I see Christ in is Mrs. Spindler. She drives here every week to spend time with us and make great changes for our school. She also has to leave three kids behind, including her husband, so she can lead our school. Mrs. Spindler helps a lot with the kids and is for sure one of the nicest principals we’ve had. The second person I’d like to write about is Dick Tesar. He does a lot for our school starting with cleaning the school, to locking the doors to the church and school. Marilyn is the last person I’d like to recognize. She prepares the church every Mass day and puts out decorations for all holidays. She spends most of her time with Jesus and she is sharing her love with us.

Prairie Catholic has definitely changed my life. I am very proud of my school and it will never be forgotten.

I love attending Prairie Catholic because of my friends. I love my friends. My friends support me through the tough times. My life wouldn’t be the same without them

I love attending Prairie Catholic because this school has given me opportunities. They have given us many assignments to read in front of the class. I’m glad they do this because it helps for speaking in front of crowds.

I love attending Prairie Catholic because they treat you as a person and not a number. The staff respect you and give you a premium learning experience.

I love attending Prairie Catholic because of all of the classes. Every single class is interesting and unique. All of the classes are fun and fast to learn. The teachers are efficient and nice.

They give you a great education. The teachers care more about you and your education for you to be ready for high school. The lunches are great. They are nutritious and filling. Prairie Catholic Schools really changed my beliefs in God. They’ve helped me learn more about God and they’ve helped me get closer to him. Prairie Catholic School teaches harder homework but it helps prepare us for high school and that’s another good thing I like. Prairie Catholic School is not just about homework or God, it is about helping our community and helping out loved ones. Prairie Catholic School teaches the younger kids to help out the elderly. Personally, I love it here because this school has taught me the real things in life like respect, love and care for others.

By Owen Teynor

I love going to Prairie Catholic, because it provides me with education. Most public schoolers, from what I have heard, weren’t as prepared for high school as we are. This is the best thing to her, because I feel we strive to have the best educated students coming out of our school and into high school. Secondly, I love the staff here. The staff is nice, friendly, and easy to get help from. Having a staff that works hand in hand with their students is the best thing to see in  school. Thirdly, the students. I have made many friends here at Prairie Catholic and it is the best thing to see me grow up with them and their personal interests. Fourthly, I feel we re much nicer than most other kids. Learning about the respect for others is a valuable thing to have as a id. Instead of cursing and yelling at each other, we are working arguments out as though we both know we are human and deserve respect. Lastly, it would have to be student council. Student council gets the opportunity to see what kids want for events. As I’m typing this, we are getting prepared for Catholic Schools Week, which student council planned out. Giving kids fun activities in the school makes their days better in many ways, weather it is wearing sweatpants to having bake sales, our students are having fun at school.

I love attending Prairie Catholic because of the following:

Religion is one of the funnest things about Prairie Catholic. We get to go to Adoration and write in our prayer Journals. If we behave, we get rewarded with movies and treats.

Having good friends is nice to have. We all know each other and adjust to new people easily. We re all nice and respect each other equally.

The food is delicious and nutritious. We get good and freshly prepared lunches. The cooks are quick and efficient with the food.

Science is exciting and we get to do tons of projects. Science is one of the more interesting classes to me. We get to do indoor and outdoor activities. We get to do science projects every other weeks.

Gym is physical activity and we play fun team working games. We do warm up exercises, or run, then we play games or sports. Then we do fitness testing twice a year.

There are many reasons I love Prairie Catholic. It is special in its own way. Everyone treats each other as equals. I love spending time with my friends. My friends are genuine people who are kind and try and treat everyone with kindness. The class sizes are smaller and the teachers here are all kind. The teachers treat everyone with kindness and the teachers here actually care about how good you do in school.

The food here is also very good as well. My favorite food here is pizza and chicken fajitas. I have seen Christ alive in Mrs. Stoeffler and many of the other people here t Prairie Catholic. Mrs. Stoeffler helps everyone she possibly can. She donates to the poor, helps the elderly, always is happy, and she treats us with kindness and respect. The librarians re also very kind. They volunteer to do it when they don’t have to. The teachers here are also great because they go here and also don’t’ get paid as much here even though they could go to the public school There are also very many volunteers here t Prairie Catholic who we could never repay. We also get to watch movies and learn bout God. Our school is fun, awesome and wants to give us a good education.

We get to watch movies and have treats in religion class when we are good and quiet in class. I really like that because it gives us a break from school work, and it is really fun. We have a very good priest, Monsignor Stoetzel. He is  very religious man and loves going to church and saying mass for us. He is a very nice man and he always makes us smile. He is very welcoming to everyone. We have great teachers here at Prairie Catholic School. Throughout the years, all of the teachers were amazing and they still are. They have helped us through tough times and helped us with homework. We are very blessed to have awesome teachers. We get to read in church for parts. We start reading in Mass when we re in third grade. We got used to reading so now in middle school we are amazing readers. We also get great food. Molly, our lunch lady, really puts her time in getting us healthy food. I love the food here. One thing I really like about Prairie Catholic School is that the teachers help us keep our faith by going to religion class and going to Mass. We also have great friends and students here. My friends are nice, funny, smart and understanding.

I have been attending Prairie Catholic since third grade. Catholic Schools Week is the best week we have. It is why I love Prairie Catholic so much. One way why I love Prairie Catholic is because we learn to respect each other. We learn this by the teacher’s examples. The teachers here are also really good here. They are really nice and help a lot.

At Prairie Catholic, we have small class sizes. It is good to have small class sizes because everyone knows each other very well and it is easy to get along with everyone. Religion class is also very fun. In religion, we do service projects, watch inspiring movies that actually are good, eat snacks when we’re good, go to Adoration, read at Mass, and have a yearly Saint’s program.

Student council is also a good thing. We don’t just help our school, but we help lots of other people.

Lastly, we have great volunteers here. We have library volunteers who donate their time for the students here to make sure we enjoy reading.

Marilyn also makes sure everything is ready and looks nice for Mass. Connie comes into our school early in the morning to clean and help our school. There are way more volunteers that help our school and church.

There are many reasons why I love attending Prairie Catholic. I only wrote a few, but I love this school. I am also very thankful for the volunteers who help our school. This way, it makes going to school not seem so bad, and makes our learning experience better. Thank you volunteers, teachers, staff and community!

I love Prairie Catholic and here are some of my reasons. I first want to start off by saying I love the teachers here, I feel that the teachers here are completely different from other teachers I’ve seen at other schools. They are patient with the kids and have good experience with what they’re teaching. Next, I really appreciate all of the janitors and volunteers here at the school. I’m extremely thankful they keep our school up in good shape, I also love that we have access to a church right across the street. I find it extremely important to have  church at a Catholic school. I love having smaller classes at school. I feel so much more comfortable and safe at a small school. I think having a smaller school helps kids start off being able to makes friends a little easier. Next, I love our day care. I never went to the day care here, but it looks like a fun and educational environment to grow up in. I like our challenging math at our school. Now, this is pretty tough for me to say because I dislike math a lot. I know it’s not the easiest thing, but I know it will make high school 10x easier. Some of us eighth graders are nervous for high school and I truly think the teachers are preparing us for high school. Next, I am obsessed with the food here. I know it’s so much better than other schools and there is a huge variety of meals here that are so tasty. I’m very thankful for Molly and Janice who prepare the lunches. Some of my favorite lunches are ham subs, taco in a bag, and buffalo chicken sandwiches. I also have noticed the kids at Prairie Catholic are very kind and make awesome friends. Our school raises good kids that are very respectful, kind and outgoing.

In this essay I will be stating why I love Prairie Catholic. There are many reasons why I like Prairie Catholic, but I will only be stating a few reasons. The reasons I like Prairie Catholic are the following: friendship, lunch, volunteering, small classes and teachers. I hope you enjoy my essay.

First, I will talk about the friendship at Prairie Catholic. This school is a great environment to make friends. You end up to get to know everyone personally. The students re very open to new people and are normally kind. It is not very hard to make friends at Prairie Catholic, and that is one reason I love Prairie Catholic.

Second, I will talk about the school’s lunch. Our schools lunch wouldn’t be good without the hard work of Molly, our chef. All of our lunches are good, but my favorite is the spicy chicken sandwich. Third, I will talk bout the small classes. I fell like you get a better learning experience with small classes. With small classes, you can ask a lot of questions to the teachers.

Fourth, I will talk about the teacher. The teachers are always helfpful. With the small class sizes, teachers can always answer your questions and help you if you are confused with an assignment. Fifth, I will talk about volunteering. At Prairie Catholic you volunteer a lot. Volunteering is work, but at the end of the day you feel good about the work you did. Finally, I like watching religious movie in religion class. We watched some of my favorite movies in that class, and I also got a couple of new favorites. Those weer the reasons why I like Prairie Catholic.

I like attending Prairie Catholic because of the following. I like the small classes. Larger classes means kids cn get away with a lot more than small class sizes. Smaller class sizes also means better field trips for me also teachers so they don’t have to keep track of so many kids. One trip that was great to go to with our small class was to Washington D.C. especially in a big place like that. Classes here are lots of fun like religion. In religion, we work in our book, but on Fridays we have fun by playing religion Jeopardy or watching movies like Sister Act 2. Another class that I like is science. We get to do all sorts of in class projects. We have also made robotics. With the classes are the teachers. The teachers at Prairie Catholic are fun but can be strict when kids misbehave and need a detention or extra work. I am glad to be at Prairie Catholic. I have had eight great years at Prairie Catholic. I would never trade what I have done for another school.

My first reason is that all my friends I have here. They re all so nice, kind and supportive. If you are sad, they will help you and make you feel better.

Next is lunch. Compared to the stories I hear from the public school, I think our lunch is pretty good. WE have some very good volunteer lunch ladies and they re good at their job. Some of my favorite lunches are taco in a bag, buffalo chicken patty, and chicken fajita.

Then there are the wall paintings. There are paintings in the library, landing and gym. The paintings really lighting up the school and make it not as boring.

Because we have small classes so they can get to us. We can know more things about the other kids in class.
