Roger J. Becwar, 88, of Eastman, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. 

He was born Dec. 14, 1931, the son of Fred and Margaret (Degnan) Becwar. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War. He married Donna Kussmaul on Jan 5, 1959. Roger farmed with his son Bob in the Eastman area for many years. 

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna; their children, Bob Becwar and Penny (Loyde) Beers; sister, Theresa (Leonard) Meister; grandchildren, Stacy (Jon) Gerdes, Mandy (Nate) Maruna, Mike (Teresa) Beers, and Michelle Beers; and great-grandchildren, Skylin, Danielle, Brooke and Brendan. 

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Jerry; and his brother, James.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Feb. 10, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman, with Rev. Rajan Anandan officiating. Military honors were accorded graveside by the American Legion Post 0252. 

The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
