Farm Bureau invites public to learn about water, soil, nutrients and farming
On Thursday, Feb. 27, Crawford County Farm Bureau invites community members to learn more about farming in the county. Amber Radatz, co-director of Discovery Farms Wisconsin, will provide a presentation and question-and-answer session about water, soil, nutrients and their relationship to farming. The event will take place in the Prairie du Chien High School Little Theater at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30, and the public is encouraged to enter the front entrance by the flagpole.
Afterward, Crawford County Farm Bureau will host a panel of regional farmers that will be moderated by Radatz. Panel members will talk about their farming practices and efforts to be good stewards of the land. Community members in the audience will be allowed to ask questions.
“We want to have an open dialogue between farmers and those that work and live in Crawford County because we’re all in this together,” said Don Brown Crawford County Farm Bureau President.
