Judith Ann Nuehring, 81, of Guttenberg passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020.

Per Judy’s request in lieu of a formal funeral service, a celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Judy was born on Dec. 1, 1938, in Waterloo to Lois (Gorkow) and Harvey Kulper.

While attending country school in Colesburg her family journeyed to Millville to open “H&L Kafe.” She waitressed while getting her high school diploma. Following graduation in 1957, she went on to get her degree in cosmetology and later opened her own beauty salon in Millville.

On Oct. 27, 1960, Judy and Ronald Nuehring started their marital journey together for the next 60 years. Together they would welcome four sons, Clay, Bubby, Kyle and Cory.

Judy was a devoted mother and avid prankster. Her hobbies included kicking ass in dominos and canasta, singing and dancing to anything Elvis Presley, keeping a spotless house and soaking up as much time as possible in the outdoors amongst her tulips and peonies. Along with her many talents she loved baking cookies, decorating with penguins, and getting her family to share her Fenton addiction. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids and sneaking them a tootsie roll, or five.

She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her. She is survived by her forever soulmate, Ronnie; her four sons, Clay (Nancy), Bubby (Brenda), Kyle and Cory; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ronnie and Phil (Pat) Kulper.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Beverly Kulper and Becky Randall.

In memory of Judith Nuehring donations and checks may be sent to The Alzheimer’s Association, 1302 Baker Ave., West Branch, IA 52358.

Words cannot express how deeply we appreciate everything the doctors, nurses and caregivers have done to help during this difficult time. We also would like to gratefully acknowledge and thank the many others for all their help and loving words. It will also be remembered by Ronnie Nuehring and the Kudos Klan.
