LaVonne Parker, 86, of Guttenberg, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2020. 

Private family services will be at a later date. 

Arrangements were handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg. 

LaVonne was born on June 8, 1933, on the family farm outside of Guttenberg, the daughter of August and Edna Morarend.

LaVonne graduated from the Guttenberg High School with the class of 1951.  On June 27, 1953, she was united in marriage with Wilford “Willie” Parker at the United Methodist Church in Guttenberg and the couple was blessed with five children. LaVonne was the owner/operator of Parkview Beauty Salon and then worked for many years at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital until her retirement. 

LaVonne will be forever loved and cherished by her five children, Steven “Peco” (Joan) Parker, Jeff “Red” (Julie) Parker, James “Jimmer” (Kindra) Parker, Nancy (Jeff) Marcum and Joseph Parker; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one more due in August and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on Oct 2, 1993, and daughter-in-law, Shelley Parker on July 3, 2011.

In lieu of flowers and all other styles of sympathy, the family has requested memorials to benefit either the Guttenberg Public Library, The Family Resource Center or a charity of your choice.
