Cindy Riniker, Crawford County health officer, strongly recommends everyone to postpone or cancel personal travel, which is considered non-essential, outside of Wisconsin and outside of Crawford County until further notice. Documented cases and widespread transmission of COVID-19 are growing rapidly here in Wisconsin as well as nationwide and internationally.

If traveling back home from any non-essential travel from anywhere outside of Crawford County in the last 14 days, which includes “Snow Birds” and “Spring Breakers.” Crawford County Public Health is asking you to:

•Begin voluntary self-quarantine and self-monitoring for 14 days post travel. Do not go to work (though this may mean no pay for 14 days).
•Practice social distancing.
•Take your temperature with a thermometer two times a day and monitor for fever. Also, watch for cough or trouble breathing.
•Do not use public transportation.
•Avoid crowded places (such as shopping centers) and limit your activities in public.
•Keep your distance from others (about 6 feet).

"We are all in this together and each one of us has the responsibility to slow the spread of COVID-19," said Riniker in a statement March 26.
