Clark Edward Frommelt, 81, of Dubuque, died Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Manor Care Center in Dubuque.

A private family graveside service was held. The family plans to hold a public memorial at a later date.

Arrangements were handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Clark was born in Millville on March 6, 1939, the son of Edwin and Eleanor (Brockman) Frommelt.

Clark graduated from Guttenberg High School with the class of 1957. He served in the United States Army and Navy Reserves. He worked at Dubuque Packing Company and Eagle Window and Door. Clark loved spending time hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Serving in the military started his passion to travel. With Clark born on the farm, he took to heart the farming tradition of helping his family, neighbors and friends. He also liked spending time at the Veterans Freedom Center and enjoyed sharing his stories, jokes and activities they provided.

Clark is survived by his four children, Richard Frommelt, Michelle Bittner, Melissa Miller and Michael (Jackie) Frommelt; seven grandchildren; brother, Terry (Sandy) Frommelt; brother-in-law, Al Schlueter and many other relatives and friends.

Clark was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Schlueter.

Our family would like to thank Veterans Freedom Center, Manor Care and Hospice for the kindness and devoted care that Clark received.
