Crawford County issues advisory to seasonal and secondary homeowners

Crawford County Health Officer Cindy Riniker and County Board Chairperson Tom Cornford have issued an inter-county and inter-state travel advisory, due to COVID-19.

Due to high community transmission in certain areas of Wisconsin and across state borders, they strongly recommend everyone postpone or cancel personal travel, which is considered non-essential, outside of Wisconsin and outside of Crawford County until further notice. 

If traveling back home from any non-essential travel from anywhere outside of Crawford County in the last 14 days, which includes “Snow Birds” and “Spring Breakers.” The Crawford County Public Health Department is asking people to begin voluntary self-quarantine and self-monitoring and also practice social distancing.

Crawford County is recommending people stay in their primary home area if they have a seasonal or secondary home in Crawford County. Due to a very limited health care infrastructure, visitors are asked not to visit now.

People who have seasonal homes and property in Crawford County are asked to stay at their winter homes at this time if possible. 

Anyone already back in Crawford County is asked to immediately self-isolate for 14-days.
