There are three department head positions up for election for Crawford County in 2020. The position of district attorney is also up for election.

County Clerk Janet Geisler will be retiring, and two Democrats are vying for the position. This is the only contested position, and because both candidates are democrats, the election will be decided in the Aug. 11 primary.

Chief Deputy County Clerk Robin Fisher and Eastman Town Clerk Kari Lenzendorf Kronberg are both running for county clerk.

The other two department head positions up for election are the register of deeds and the county treasurer.

Incumbent Register of Deeds Melissa Nagel is running unopposed, as is incumbent Treasurer Deanne Lutz.

District Attorney Lukas Steiner is also running unopposed.

2020 election dates

Partisan Primary - Aug. 11: President/Vice President; Rep. in Congress-Dist. 3; State Senator-Dist. 32; Rep. to the Assembly-District 96; District Attorney; County Clerk; Register of Deeds; and County Treasurer.

General Election - Nov. 3: President/Vice President; Rep. in Congress-Dist. 3; State Senator-Dist. 32; Rep. to the Assembly-District 96; District Attorney; County Clerk; Register of Deeds; and County Treasurer.
