Josie Kramer, Ava Hager and Ella Hager run together Thursday at La Riviere.

The Prairie du Chien cross country team hosted Platteville at LaRiviere Park on Thursday afternoon.

Boys

Must be getting early, clocks are running late, but not for Spencer DeHart as he picked up a 7th place finish against a very talented group of runner’s.

Dawn is breaking everywhere, light a candle and curse the glare as Bryce Priebe nails down the sunset with a 9th place finish.

I will get up, I will get by, I will run or I will fly as Max Anthony runs to a 12th place finish on the day.

I see you have your shoes out, say your peace and get out of my way as Ryan Waller finished in 16th place and just missed a new career personal record by 5 seconds.

Young and strong, running against the wind Chase Kozelka ran his way to a new career “PR” on the day.

Girls

The A,B,C’s we must all face to try and keep a little grace until I hit the course and create some space as Meg Katzung finished in first place on the day.

Caught like a wildfire out of control, nothing left to burn just ashes to move as Ella Hager hammered out a blistering 4th-place finish.

They told me don’t go running slow because Josie Kramer’s on the loose as she navigates the jungle of LaRiviere Park to a huge 5th place finish on the day.

It’s time to stop and look around, what’s that sound? Better look back and see as Ava Hager picks up 7th place on the day.

Thought I heard a rumblin’, fill the sky with smoke as Alyssa Straka’s running shoes take flight again and she finishes in 11th place.

The birds are singing and the bugs are floatin’ on the breeze, wait...nope, that’s Kate Olson flying by to a 13th-place finish.

Across the field where the yellow flag turns back, I’m going to take you to the finish line and Jadyn Jenks pounded out a 16th-place finish.

I wake up in the morning and raise my weary head, it’s a good day for running as Eowyn Earle ran to an 18th-place finish.

Take me now but know the truth, I’m going down in a blaze of glory as Payton Key tightened up her laces today and pounded out her best race with a 19th-place finish.

Thunder...Thunder...Thunder...I was caught in the middle of the XC race. Looked around and I knew there was no turning back as Shayla Straka dropped over 30 seconds off her time from her last race to finish 22nd on the day. Hit the course, broke the limit, you’ve been Thunderstruck as Sadie Torgerson rounded out the field by taking 24th on the day.
