Anna M. Quick, 91, of McGregor, Iowa, formerly of Mt. Hope, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at Great River Care Center in McGregor.

She was born on July 7, 1929, in Prairie du Chien, the second daughter of Louis and Caroline (Harvat) Wagner. She grew up in Wauzeka, attended school there and graduated as valedictorian of her class in 1947. Anna married William Glen Quick on Dec. 29, 1947, in La Crosse. They farmed together in the Bagley and Blakes Prairie area until Bill was stricken with polio in 1959. Drastic changes had to be made, so in 1962, they purchased a small acreage in Mt. Hope and moved there.

Surviving are her four daughters, Marjorie (Roger) White, Fennimore; Virginia (Bruce) Welsh, Blue River; Debra (Steve) Zimmerman, Patch Grove; and Kathy (Mark) Eggebakken, West Salem. She has seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Anna also has two surviving sisters, Mary Chunat, Wauzeka, and Lois Duha, Fennimore; and a brother-in-law, Charles Quick, Prairie du Chien; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill on July 12, 2004; her parents; six brothers-in-law, and four sisters-in-law; besides many other family and friends.

Private graveside services were held on Friday, Nov. 20, at Union Nagle Cemetery, Patch Grove Township, with Reverend Mary Ann Floerke officiating.

Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory, in Bloomington, assisted the family.
