Stroll in the Park to offer lights and entertainment along riverfront
Community members are invited to take a Stroll in the Park at the Prairie du Chien riverfront’s Lawler Park this weekend.
The city parks and recreation department would love to see couples, families and visitors join them for a free, family-friendly and safe event that you can either walk or drive through to enjoy a new Christmas light display and holiday entertainment. Pass through and see the lights any time. Or, Stroll in the Park past the park’s gazebo when several groups of local carolers and dancers will perform.
On Friday, Dec. 18, the Gates Family Singers will share some seasonal tunes at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 19, the Prairie du Chien High School Acapella Choir will sing at 7 p.m. Finally, on Sunday, Dec. 20, the MFL MarMac Bulldog Dance Team will liven up the crowd with several fun routines at 6 p.m.
Santa Claus will be on hand during these festivities to share his holiday spirit.
Social distancing and masks are required for those walking. For more information, contact parks and rec at 326-7207.
