Alvin Ready, 71, of Eastman, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at Mayo Health Systems in La Crosse. 

He was born April 29, 1949, to Lyle and Marie (Zech) Ready. Alvin graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in 1967 and attended Community College in Beaver Dam. On Oct. 10, 1970, Alvin was united in marriage with Paula Fiddler. Throughout the years, Alvin worked for Lochner Motors, Huebsch Chevrolet and Great Country Motors. He also worked on lawn mowers and people would come from miles around to have their mowers fixed. Alvin was always a kind and gentle man.

Alvin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paula Ready of Eastman; children, Dolly (Steve) Boland, Greg (Toni) Ready, Angel (Brian) Hatlan, Anita (Wes) Nelson and Dawn (Matt) Sipla; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Allan (Joanne) Ready and Kendal (Sandy) Ready.

Preceding Alvin in death were his parents, Lyle and Marie Ready; and one brother, Douglas Ready.

A public visitation was held on Saturday, Dec. 26, at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Prairie du Chien. A private funeral was held. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family with arrangements.
