Paul Clinton Sipe Jr.

Paul Clinton Sipe Jr., a resident of Baton Rouge LA passed away on February 10, 2017, at home at the age of 88. He was born in Oak Park, IL on April 16, 1928. Paul volunteered and trained in the Navy at age 15½: was honorably discharged as a minor without consent when his grandfather caught up with him in Norman, OK 1943. Then he was drafted into the Army in 1950 and served two tours in the Korean War. His first tour in communications; his second tour was organizing a band to entertain the officers and troops.

Eugene R. Glesne

Eugene R. Glesne died February 12, 2017. He was born July 9, 1946 Myrtle and Raymond Glesne, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ron Glesne.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy; children, Tracey (Chad) Duke, Kirsten Glesne and Tyler (Alicia) Glesne; six grandchildren, Riley, Gunnar, Harper and Hanson Duke and Harrison and Cecily Glesne; brother, John "Jack" (Eve) Glesne; sister-in-law Gloria Glesne; many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Dale (Orville) Entwisle

Dale (Orville) Entwisle of Robins, IA passed away on February 15, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his family at the age of 82.

 

Dale was born to Gretchen and Orville Entwisle on May 8, 1934.  He grew up in Elkader, Iowa where he met Janice Kraus, and the two were married there at St. Joseph’s church on June 26, 1957.

Jeffrey Allen Fangmann

Jeffrey Allen Fangmann, 54, of Garnavillo, IA, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017.  He was born on May 7, 1962, in Dubuque, the son of Elmer and Anna Fangmann.

            Jeff grew up in the Bankston area where he graduated from Western Dubuque High School. Jeff was working as a mechanic when he and Laurie met in February 1981. They were married on June 23, 1984 at St. Joseph Church in Garnavillo. This marriage blessed Jeff and Laurie with two children, Joseph and Emily.

John William Nelson

John William Nelson, 75 of Elkader, Iowa passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Elkader Hospital.  Leonard-Grau Funeral Home is handling cremation arrangements. Interment will occur at a later date. 

 

 John William Nelson was born on March 1, 1941, to Millard Nelson, Sr. and Myrtle (Moon) Nelson in Clermont.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at West Clermont Lutheran Church.
