Rural PdC gun range reopens

After being damaged by severe flooding in Sept. 2019, the Prairie Rod and Gun Club gun range reopened Saturday, July 25, after recent flood repair work was completed. The flooding stripped turf from the 100-yard target berm south to the parking lot, and the washout covered the area with debris.

Shirley (Dickey) Beckel

Shirley (Dickey) Beckel, 84, passed away peacefully at home in Rochester, Minn., on Wednesday, July 15. She was born June 16, 1936, in Prairie du Chien. 

Shirley is survived by all of her children, Debra (Raymond), Bruce (Lea), Jayne, Terry (DeAnn); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Greg L. Wehrle, 70, of Mt. Hope, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, at the Lancaster Health Unit in Lancaster. 

He was born on Feb. 8, 1950, in Lancaster, the son of Harles and Nelda (Cohen) Wehrle. He was united in marriage to Debra Myers on Dec. 23, 1972, at the Livingston United Methodist Church.
