Ronald Alvin Bahls, 70, of Garnavillo, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at Scenic Acres in Saint Olaf.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo.

Ronald was born on Jan. 19, 1949, the son of Alvin and LaVonne (Geuder) Bahls.

Marlene Ella Doerring, 82, of Elkader, formerly of Garnavillo, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, at Elkader Care Center in Elkader, surrounded by the love of God and her family.

Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 12, at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Monona and before services at the church on Monday.

Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 13, at Norway Lutheran Church in St. Olaf, conducted by Rev. Marshall Hahn.

Jeffrey Ramon White, 59, of Guttenberg, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Graveside committal services were Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Guttenberg City Cemetery, conducted by Deacon James Pfaffly.

Harlen Reyerson has many fond memories of growing up in Guttenberg. He and his band of adventuresome friends — Don Moser, Carl Aulwes and Denny Randall — enjoyed many hours of outdoor recreation on the bluffs and waterways that surround our picturesque community. The foursome created lasting memories that continue to put a smile on Harlen's face.

Chamber of Commerce banquet set for Monday, Jan. 20

The Guttenberg Chamber of Commerce annual banquet and membership meeting will be Monday, Jan. 20, at the Guttenberg Golf and Country Club.  

"The annual banquet is held each January for Chamber members to gather and discuss Chamber events, activities, and projects for the past and upcoming year," said Chamber Director Mandy Ludovissy. "All Guttenberg Chamber members are invited and encouraged to attend the annual meeting, and anyone interested in knowing more about the Guttenberg Chamber is welcome to attend."

From their comfortable apartment in the Eagle Ridge Independent and Assisted Living complex, Eldora and Duwane Duwe cordially shared their memories of a lifetime spent in and around the Guttenberg area.  

The couple has been married for 74 years, and has been sharing their lives with one another since their high school days.

Robert L. Tyler

Robert LeRoy Tyler, 84, of Guttenberg, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 30, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin. Visitation was before services at the funeral home.

Robert was born on Feb. 10, 1935, in Prairie du Chien, Wis., the son of Arthur and Goldie Tyler.
