Visitation was Friday, June 10, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Manchester. 

Funeral services were Saturday, June 11, at Immaculate Conception Church in Masonville, conducted by Reverend Gabriel Anderson.

Roland Edward Doerring, 89, of Elkader, formerly of Garnavillo, died Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Elkader Care Center surrounded by the love of his three daughters.

Visitation and funeral services were Friday, June 10, at Norway Lutheran Church in St. Olaf, conducted by Rev. Marshall Hahn.

Burial with military rites was at Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery, rural Farmersburg.

Visitation and funeral services were Tuesday, June 7, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Edgewood.

Interment was at Zion Cemetery, Colesburg.

Emilie Ann (Urlaub) Lenth

Emilie Ann (Urlaub) Lenth, 87,  of Garnavillo, passed away peacefully at the Guttenberg Care Center on the morning of May 30, 2022, after a month-long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, John C. Lenth; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary (Kim) Lenth and Dave (Sarah McGee) Lenth, and daughter and son-in-law, Julie (John) Carver; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Roger H. Torrey

Roger Torrey was born June 18, 1943, and passed away Jan. 8, 2022. He was a loving husband, father, papa, and friend to everyone he met. Roger had a love for Mustangs and got married to Cheryl in his 1964 ½ Mustang in 1965. They were married for 56 years. He loved watching NASCAR, winning trophies, car shows, his hotrods, and was extremely passionate about spending time with family and friends. 

His family includes his wife, Cheryl Torrey; three children, Tammy, Eric (Angie), Sarah (Dee Swayze); eight grandchildren, Luke, Caleb, Dakota, Carson, Hunter, Gavin, Tiernan and Ledger; brothers, Harvey, Gary, Merlin, Lyle, Kevin, Bob and sister, Janet.

Kenneth J. Payne

On May 23, 2022, the Lord called Ken to Himself after living with cancer for an extended period of time.

Ken was born in Sand Springs on May 10, 1939, the third son of Vernon and Berniece (Albang) Payne and spent his early years in the Monticello area where he also received his education. On May 3, 1958, Ken was united in marriage with Ruth Postel, his high school sweetheart. Their union was blessed with eight children, Teri Didonna, Boise, Idaho; Wendy, St. Paul, Minn.; Mark (Ann), Elkader; Christa, Clarksville; Zachary (Megan), Elkader; and three deceased children, Kenneth Jr., Timothy and Mary. Also eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
