Prairie Football now one step closer to playoffs after 43-12 win at River Valley

You would be forgiven for mistaking Blake Thiry for a basketball player instead of a wrestler with plays like this one against River Valley as he jumps to make a catch much like a power forward grabbing a rebound off the rim. (Derick Kelly/Courier Press)

The ladies did not let weather or expectations slow them down, however, as they played every bit as well as they could’ve hoped to. The team placed 2nd place with a 400 team score, led by Elisia Wynos with a 95, Tessa Czajkowski-Higgins with a 100, Hannah Fritsche with a 101, Irelynd Cejka with a 104, and Camryn Knapp with a 110. The 400 represented their best 18 hole score this year, and best 9 hole average as well.
