June 30 free pitch, hit, and run

The Prairie du Chien Independent Little League is hosting a Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition for area youth. The event will be June 30 on St. Feriole Island with registration beginning at 5 p.m. and the competition starting at 6 p.m. The competition is open to all youth regardless of residence.
Pitch, Hit & Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball®. This grass roots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills.
Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8,9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and have the chance to advance through four levels  of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks, and the National Finals during the 2023 MLB World Series.

On Thursday, June 1, the Prairie du Chien/River Ridge/Seneca Hawks Girls Soccer team traveled to Delavan-Darien High School for their regional playoff game against the Delavan-Darien Comets. The Hawks were seeded number 11 and the Comets were the number 6 seed in a field of 17 teams. This was the highest seed ever accomplished by any Hawks Girls Soccer team.
