River Ridge girls top Wauzeka-Steuben, lose to Bangor

The River Ridge girls fine basketball season came to an end in a Division 5 sectional final Saturday afternoon at La Crosse Central.

Top seeded Bangor (25-1) defeated top seeded River Ridge 62-54 to advance to state.

The Prairie du Chien wrestling team continued their superb season on Saturday, March 7 with a trip to the UW-Fieldhouse and a semifinal match-up with GET/Melrose-Mindoro.

Kylee O’Kane executes a nice leap on the balance beam Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids at the state meet.

Prairie du Chien-Fennimore gymnast Kylee O’Kane participated in the 50th annual State Gymnastics Meet Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids.

Kylee placed 19th out of 28 in the balance beam competition. She had a score of 8.417, which is a great score at the state meet because the judging is much tougher at the state level.

The Prairie du Chien girls basketball team ended their season during a hard-fought battle against undefeated Platteville in the sectional semifinal game in Lodi on Thursday, March 5. 

It was a game of runs as each time Prairie tied up the game or came within a point or two, Platteville would go on a run.

The Prairie du Chien-Fennimore gymnastics team competed in the sectional meet in Platteville on Saturday. The team put up its third best score of the season with a 112.800, good for fifth place at the meet.
