Alan G. Jacobson, 70 of Rockland died Thursday, Feb. 5. 

He was born on Dec. 30, 1944 in Viroqua to Victor and Jean (Ewers) Jacobson. He served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years. He married Marcella Whiteaker and they later divorced. He enjoyed country music, especially the old time music. Alan also liked car shows, playing pool, visiting and drinking Coca-Cola.

He is survived by his two children, Patty (Dan) Ronn-
feldt of Ferryville and Van (Tammy) Jacobson of Prairie du Chien; four grandchildren, Travis and Adam Ronnfeldt and Dawson and Devan Jacobson; three siblings, Victor Alton Jacobson of Athens, Ga., Wayne “Jake” (Linda) Jacobson of DeSoto, and Karl B. (Kathy Corpian) Jacobson of McGregor, Iowa; two nephews and five great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. at Utica Lutheran Church. Pastor Nile Sandeen will officiate with burial to follow in the Utica Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
