Margy M. Mohr, 86, of rural Wauzeka passed away Thursday, March 12, at Crossing Rivers Healthcare in Prairie du Chien. 

She was born Feb. 15, 1929 in Blue River, the daughter of Amos and Carrie (Milham) Bartels. She was united in marriage to Reuben Mohr on July 1, 1947 in Blue River. Together they farmed in the Wauzeka area. Margy enjoyed bowling, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the children she babysat. One of her favorite pastimes was playing softball at Bush Ball Park. 

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Knoble and Linda (Kim) Olson both of Prairie du Chien, Pam (Terry) Buchen of Belleville, Wis. and Ronald (Darcy) Mohr of Prairie du Chien; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; her sisters, Eloise (Lyle) Seiger of Charlotte, N.C., Kathleen (Marvin) Pursell of Rock Falls, Ill. and Susie (Richard) Balousek of Verona; along with several nieces and nephews. 

Margy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son Douglas; her grandson Dusty; her brothers, LeRoy, Virgil and Junior Bartels; her sisters, Emily Kolman, Elizabeth Huff, Maxine Vance and Evelyn Haight.

A celebration of Margy’s life will be Saturday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with Rev. Lynn Schreck officiating. Interment will be later in the Wauzeka Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, March 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Saturday, March 21.
