Helen F. Stagman, 82 of Bagley, passed away Thursday, April 2, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. 

She was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Bloomington, the daughter of Milo and Velma (Sitts) Bean. Helen graduated from Boscobel High School. On June 8, 1951, she was united into marriage to Charles H. Stagman at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. Together they raised three children, Gary, Greg and Gale. Helen spent thirty-five years as a cook at the Bagley Hotel, serving up many delicious meals. On her time off, she enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower beds, crossword puzzles, and watching NASCAR. She especially enjoyed watching her grandson Matt, race the dirt tracks around the area. Most of all, Helen dearly loved spending time with her family.

Surviving is her loving husband of sixty-three years, Chuck; her son, Greg (Tami) Stagman and her daughter, Gale (Sparky) Gardner; grandchildren, Zach, Lacey, Matt, Kyle, Katrina, Cody and Tyler; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Brynn, Jakson, and Harrison.

Helen was preceded in death by her son, Gary; her brothers, Steve, Dwayne “Pete,” and Rodger (Pat) Bean.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bloomington. Burial will be in the Bagley Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 8, from 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
