Grace Mergen of River Ridge hits the ball back to the Wauzeka-Steuben side.

The action was good at the scrimmage Tuesday with both teams starting to round into form as they prepare for the regular season.

River Ridge hosted Wauzeka-Steuben in a volleyball scrimmage Tuesday evening. There was action on two courts, a varsity court and a court for those players with less experience. The varsity court at times had a mixture of varsity and junior varsity players. (Photos by Ted Pennekamp)
