Jerry (JR) Hoilien passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 30, in Key Largo, Fla.

Jerry was born in Fort Madison, Iowa on April 27, 1960 to Joyce and Jerry Hoilien. Jerry was an avid hunter and gatherer throughout the rivers and hills of Iowa and Wisconsin. He had a huge heart, great laugh and an incredible smile!

He has three daughters, Jada Miller and family of Memphis, Tenn., Josie Hoilien of Key Largo, Fla. and Katie Hoilien of McGregor, Iowa; three sisters Kate Hoilien, Denver, Colo. Mary Henningsen, Marne, Iowa and Julia Hoilien, Eldorado Springs, Colo. and their families.

A private burial will take place in Boscobel, on Saturday, Oct. 10.

A potluck celebration of JR’s life will be held at the Depot Bar in Prairie du Chien from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. Please join his daughters, sisters and their families to share memories and blessings.

In lieu of flowers please donate to a local ducks unlimited chapter or charity of your choice.
