Darlene Frances Proof, 74, of Macomb and formerly of Praire du Chien, passed away Oct. 3. 

Darlene loved her family dearly and served for three years in the United States Army as Medical Corpsmen.

She was the loving wife of Richard; dear mother of Lisa (David) Merglewski; cherished grandmother of Bridgette (Michael) Allen, Nicholas (Brittany) Cluckey and David Merglewski; beloved great-grandmother of Michael Allen III, Hunter Cluckey and Hailey Cluckey; dearest sister of Sylvester (Sally) Barrette, Madonna Toberman, Lorraine Mainor, Dale Barrette, Mark (Sandy) Barrette, Gary (Nancy) Barrette and also survived by many extended loved ones and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Gloria Rabe.

Services took place at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Macomb, Mich. on Oct. 7. Burial followed at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
