Kris R. Jones, 45, of Patch Grove/Dodgeville, passed away after a long illness on Oct. 16.

Kris was born on Jan. 30, 1970 to Richard and Janet (Matousek) Jones from Patch Grove. Kris graduated high school in Patch Grove. Kris spent many of his working years as a superintendent for Ryan Inc. of Janesville. He later moved to Dodgeville, and worked for Quality Liquid Feeds for a few years. Kris enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

Kris is survived by his parents, Richard and Janet Jones of Patch Grove;  Shantell Jones (Hrywko), the mother of his four children, Dustin, Logan, Rylee, and Parker Jones of Crystal Lake, Ill;  his sisters, Jeannie (Tom) LaBelle, Holly Keyl-Jones, and Tina (Mac) McNally;  his brothers, Todd (Amy) Jones, Tim Jones, and Dan Jones. Kris is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Kris is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Ava Matousek, and his paternal grandparents, Art and Margaret (Lull) Neises.

A memorial service will be held Oct. 24, at the Dodgeville United Methodist Church in Dodgeville, at 327 North Iowa Street. Visitation will be from 11 a.m to noon. The service will be held at noon with lunch following at the church.
