Ina Fay Steen, 93, of Fayette, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at the Maple Crest Manor in Fayette.

Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 25, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood and one hour before services at the Kingdom Hall on Monday.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 26 at the Kingdom Hall in Oelwein.

Interment was at Hansel Cemetery, rural Garber.

Ina was born on March 17, 1922, in Garber the daughter of Elmer C. and Grace (Hansel) Morley.

Ina was raised and educated in the Elkport area.

On Sept. 2, 1940, Ina was united in marriage to Willard H. Steen. They lived with Willard’s parents for a couple of years, working for various farmers, then started farming for themselves on farms near Communia, Littleport, and rural Manchester. They settled in rural Fayette County for over fifty-five years. Ina was employed as a laundry supervisor at the Maple Crest Manor for 10 years.

Ina enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and embroidering.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Hankins of Strawberry Point; seven sons, Willard (Janice) Steen of Pineville, La., Lydell (Constance) Steen of Dry Prong, La., Leslie (Mary) Steen of Poplar Grove, Ill., Arlyn Steen of Fayette, Dale (Charlotte) Steen of Oelwein, Marlin Steen of Fayette, and Daryl (Debbi) Steen of Calabash, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granchild; one brother, Lyle Morley of Osage; and three sisters, Ilo Moser of Edgewood, Irma (Harley) Glawe of St. Olaf, and Una Porter of Edgewood.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard on June 6, 2009; one daughter in infancy, Nancy Arlene; a son-in-law, Cecil Hankins; and brothers-in-law, Lelund (Dorothy) Steen, Willis (Ella) Steen, George Porter, and Delbert Moser.
