Guttenberg election results

In an election that saw low voter turn-out, Guttenberg voters went to the polls on Nov. 3 to choose two council members, two park board members and three hospital trustees.
The city council race had two openings and two declared candidates, Austin Greve and Justin Trappe. Unofficial results show that a write-in candidate, incumbent Jane Parker, finished second in the voting. Greve tallied 285 votes, Parker 150 and Trappe 147. Winners will be officially declared following the canvassing of votes by the Clayton County Board of Supervisors on Nov. 9 (after The Press deadline).
Running unopposed for two council seats, incumbent Mary Streich had 309 votes and Beth Sadewasser 294.
The hospital trustee race saw five candidates vying for three seats. The top three vote-getters were Janice Andregg 283, incumbent Bill Allyn 235 and Karen Merrick 229. Other candidates were James Feudner with 149 votes and Jim Solomon 118.
A total of 357 voters went to the polls out of 1343 registered voters, for a 26.6% turn-out.
