Julie Zittergruen, 60, of Guttenberg, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 2-7 p.m. at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  

Julie was born on Feb. 17, 1955, in Guttenberg, the daughter of Henry R. and Winifred (Carrier) Fassbinder.

Julie graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1973. For the past 28 years, she was a force behind numerous community projects in her roles as the deputy city clerk and assistant city manager in Guttenberg. Julie enjoyed entertaining and always had an open house for her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Steve Zittergruen; children, Joe Zittergruen, Jillian (Jason) Pierce, Nick (Raven Monti) Zittergruen; two granddaughters, Ellison and Adelyn Pierce; four brothers, Henry Lee (Sandra), James (Michelle), Dennis (Brenda) and Tom (Sue) Fassbinder; one sister in-law, Pat (Steve) Schroeder and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; brother, Roger in infancy; first husband, Tom Sadewasser; brother-in-law, Jim Sadewasser and sister-in-law, Pam Hinzman.

In lieu of flowers and all styles of sympathy, Julie has requested memorials. She has encouraged all those willing to make a donation to any local charity, organization or future project in her hometown of Guttenberg.
