Stanley Clair Debes, 73, of rural Mederville, died Monday, December 7, 2015, at Central Community Hospital in Elkader. He was born February 14, 1942, in rural Mederville to Clair and Madeline (Coonfare) Debes.

He was a dairy farmer who spent his entire life on the farm where he was born. Stanley farmed since he was 14 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of rural Mederville; children, Jacqueline Debes of Galena, IL, Julia Debes of Strawberry Point, Lydia Debes of Waukon, Stanley Debes Jr. of Odessa, TX, Rosemary Chacon of Midland, TX; stepchildren, John Weigel of Cheyenne, WY, Holly Stevenson of Cheyenne, WY; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Friday, December 11, at the Mederville Cemetery.
