Vincent Valentine Kraus, 79, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2015. 

Vince, affectionately known as “Pop,” was born to Sirus and Millie Kraus in Volga, Iowa on February 14, 1936. He served in the United States Marine Corps (Korean War) from 1953-1958, the United States Navy from 1958-1962, and the Air National Guard of Florida from 1965-1967.

Vince is survived by his wife and best friend of 54 years, Sandra Webb Kraus; two children: Robert (Donna) Kraus of Lyons, GA and Kelly (Doug) Stephens of Jacksonville, FL. He has three grandchildren: Jacob (Jennifer) Kraus, Megan and Shane Stephens and six great-grandchildren: Cody, Carlie, Kylie, Jonathan, Cooper, and Tucker. 

Vince was in the warehousing business. He was a member of the American Legion and the National Warehousing Association. He was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church for 43 years. He enjoyed spending his free time with his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and Georgia Bulldog fan. He was deeply loved and respected by many and will be missed by his family and friends. 

A celebration of life was held at 10 a.m. Monday January 4, 2016, at Christ the King Catholic Church with interment at 1:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. A vigil service was held on Sunday January 3, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. with a visitation from 6-8 p.m. at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, Jacksonville, FL.
