The Prairie du Chien Blackhawks boys’ basketball team (23-2) came out on top with a 41-29 victory over the Lodi Blue Devils (17-7) in a sub-sectional Division 3 WIAA Tournament game Thursday night in Richland Center.
It was a tremendous defensive effort by the Blackhawks. Lodi was held to 13 first-half points as the Hawks took a 22-13 lead in the game.
The Hawks committed no turnovers in the second half as they relied on their half court defense to stretch or maintain the lead to win the game.
Nate Banasik paced a balance attack by the Hawks with 15 points. Chas Sagedahl chipped in with 8 points and Connor George scored 7 points and had 3 steals.
