Merrill McMillin, 83, of Prairie du Chien passed away Saturday, April 2, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

He was born April 16, 1932 in McGregor, Iowa the son of Clarence and Leona (Tangeman) McMillin. He married Margaret Charvat on May 16, 1981 at St. Wenceslaus Church in Eastman. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2011. Merrill worked as a farmer and later as a cheesemaker for Swiss Valley Farms in Monona, Iowa. He was an active member of St. Wenceslaus Church in Eastman. 

He is survived by his son Robert of Prairie du Chien, and many dear friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Delbert and Harold McMillin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman, Rev. Victor Feltes officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, April 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.
