Georgann Batley, 88, of Guttenberg, died Monday, May 29, 2017, at the Guttenberg Care Center.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at Living Water Bible Fellowship in Guttenberg and the family will greet friends after 9:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Inurnment will be at Ceres Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Georgann was born in Duluth, Minn. on Sept. 5, 1928, the only child of Charles and Ada Warren.

Georgann received her education in Duluth and later received her AA degree from Duluth Junior College. On July 1, 1950, she was united in marriage with Nathan Batley in Duluth and the two were later blessed with two daughters, Sandy and Sharon. For many years, Georgann worked as an administrative assistant for various businesses. 

At age 13, Georgann invited Jesus to be her Savior. The work of the Lord was always dear to her heart. She served on various church committees, was an officer of ALCW and of her circle, and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Georgann also served on school committees and was interested in politics. She had compassion for others and was a good listener. 

Georgann is survived by her two daughters, Sandy (Dr. John) Barron and Sharon (fiancé Mark Flint) Batley; two grandchildren, Dana and Greg Barron and family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 2001.

Memorials may be designated to Living Water Bible Fellowship in Guttenberg.
