Prairie spikers

have Senior Night and Pink Night

Prairie du Chien volleyball had an exciting night on Thursday night. It was Senior Night and Pink Night. The team honored its seniors and did some fund-raising and acknowledgments for breast cancer awareness. There was great participation.

The JV (Fr/So) team won their match two games to one and ended their season with a conference record of 9-1.  The varsity reserve fell to a strong Richland Center team three games to none.

The varsity match was one that started slow as Prairie du Chien lost the first set 10-25. But, the team came back strong and finished the night challenging Richland Center with set scores of 22-25 and 20-25.

The team had 33 kills, led by Brytta Sagedahl with 10. Caitlin Pattison led the team in digs with 14, while Emily Groom tallied 18 assists and Lindsey Nichlson had 2 ace serves.

The team will travel to Belleville on Tuesday night for the first game of regionals.
