Dennis R. Wolf, 80, formerly of Guttenberg passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at his home in Dubuque surrounded by his family.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Jay Ilten. Friends may call at the church from 9-11 a.m.

Burial will be in the Guttenberg City Cemetery.

Dennis was born Sept. 10, 1938, in Guttenberg, son of Raymond and Mae (Brown) Wolf. He married Gen Feenstra on Dec. 31, 1983. Dennis worked hard all his life. As a young boy he worked as a farm hand and at the stockyards. After graduation from Guttenberg High School he went to work at the Hilton Trailer Factory. In 1965 he started at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works where he retired in 1995.

Dennis spent years working as a commercial fisherman with Gen working by his side. He was an avid hunter and passed that passion on to his sons. Because of Gen's care and compassion he was able to live his life to the fullest.

Surviving are his wife, Gen, his children, Troy (Jill) Wolf and Tonya (Mike) Schaefer; his grandsons, Cole (Jenny) and Clayton Schaefer; his daughter-in-law, Janice Wolf; his brother, Bob Wolf and his children, Sheila (Jeff) Pillard and Tim (Bobbi) Wolf; along with many lifelong friends and relatives.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Trevor Wolf and sister-in-law, Janaan Wolf.

Memorials can be given to Hospice of Dubuque, or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Dubuque. A special thank you to Mary, Larry and Sandy for all of the support you gave in assisting with Dennis's care.
