The Prairie du Chien Lady Hawks finally got a nice day to play golf when they traveled to Cole Acres golf course in Cuba City to compete in a 9-hole mini-meet hosted by Southwestern/Cuba City on Monday.

Although there were some struggles along the way, the Prairie girls were able to post their best team score of the year to date with a 266. All four of the ladies also carded their best individual scores of the year.

Allison Kennedy led the way by carding a 49. Kendall Hill shot a 67, Marie Achenbach posted a 74 and Lydia Seeley shot a 76 to round out team scoring.

The ladies all remain extremely positive and motivated to get better as they focus on chipping and putting to bring the team score down.

Wisconsin Dells remains in first place in the conference   scoring a 202. Lancaster followed closely behind with a 205. Darlington had 229 and SW/CC had 230.

“After two rain outs at Prairie du Chien Country Club, we are hoping the third time is a charm as we host our next mini-meet in Prairie on Friday, Sept. 18 with a 3 p.m. start,” said Prairie Coach Rick Peterson.
