Jerry Allen Hansel, 68, of Guttenberg, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg.

A private family graveside service will be held at Hansel Cemetery in rural Garber.

Jerry was born on Oct. 11, 1952, in Edgewood, the son of Donald and Mildred (Jones) Hansel.  

On April 10, 1996, Jerry returned to Guttenberg from Woodward. He currently lived with friends at the Imagine the Possibilities Home. Jerry loved coffee and cookies. He laughed often and was well known around the group home for his many pranks.

Survivors include his three siblings, Rick (Sue) Hansel of St. Olaf, Danny (Dianna) Hansel of Elkport; Joyce (John) Blume of Coleburg; one sister-in-law, Janet Hansel of Guttenberg; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jimmy Hansel; and one sister, Judy Brown.
