Several River Ridge-Cassville wrestlers competed in the Division 3 Lancaster Regional Saturday.
Mineral Point won the regional with a team score of 255. Fennimore had 228, Iowa Grant-Highland 224, Lancaster 157.5, Pecatonica-Argyle 103, and River Ridge Cassville 44.
Levi Wehrle of RRC took sixth at 138 pounds. In his first match, Wehrle lost to Colby Lull of Lancaster by fall in 1:09. In the fifth-place match, Wehrle lost to Emmerson Moen of Iowa Grant-Highland by technical fall 16-0.
At 160, Myles Wehrle of RRC took fourth place. Wehrle defeated Sammy Nelson of Pecatonica-Argyle by fall in 1:55. He then lost to Dustin Tydrich of Lancaster by fall in 0:46. In the third-place match, Cooper Fitzgerald of Fennimore defeated Wehrle by fall in 4:32.
At 182, Avery Morrow of RRC took fifth place. Brayden Mahr of Lancaster defeated Morrow 9-7. Morrow then received a bye. In the fifth-place match, Morrow pinned Nathan Nickels of Pecatonica-Argyle in 1:09.
Gavin Esser of RRC took fourth place at 195. In his first match, Esser received a bye. He then was defeated by Mitch Aurit of Mineral Point by fall in 2:59. In the third-place match, Dawson Cole of Fennimore defeated Esser by fall in 0:58.
Owen Callahan of RRC took fourth at 220. In his first match, Callahan received a bye. In his next match, Callahan lost to Allen Cohen of Lancaster by fall in 0:41. In the third-place match, Cameron Winkers of Fennimore defeated Callahan by fall in 1:34.
At 285, Fredi Santos of RRC took fourth. In his first match, Santos received a bye. Will Straka of Mineral Point defeated Santos by fall in 4:30. In the third-place match, Wyatt Miles of Fennimore decisioned Santos 6-3.
