Michael H. Morrissey, 67, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. 

He was born Feb. 25, 1953, in Shullsburg, the son of Francis and Therese (O’Neill) Morrissey. Michael married Lucille Boxrucker in May 2012. Michael worked in the financial industry for numerous years and most recently at Cabela’s. He loved to hunt, fish, go horseback riding, traveling, and most of all he loved his family. 

He is survived by his wife, Lucille; his sons, Dale (Rachel) and Shawn (Kristin) Morrissey; step-children DeNichole (Jim) Rymarz, Derrick (Sara) Boxrucker, DeAnne (Mike) Hoffman; brother, Joe (Jane) Morrissey; sisters, Diane Morrissey and Paula (Bob) Stauffacher; 13 grandchildren; uncle, George (Lorna) Burns; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family funeral service will be held at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. The family has requested no flowers, please.
