Thomas James Tujetsch, 66, of Guttenberg, passed away at home on Thursday, May 13, 2021, following a courageous battle with lymphoma.

Memorial services were Monday, May 17 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guttenberg. Visitation was before services at the church.

Arrangements were handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Tom was born on March 31, 1955, in Guttenberg, the son of Jerome and Adele Tujetsch. Tom graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1973. Following high school, Tom began working with his father. In future years, he purchased the business with his brother and became co-owner of Tujetsch Insurance and Real Estate. On July 16, 1983, Tom was united in marriage with Sherie Liechty at the United Methodist Church in Washington.

Tom will always be remembered as a gracious host; welcoming visitors and offering many of his favorite foods - guests never went home hungry! His hobbies included golfing, hunting, and anything with a motor. Whether it was boating on the Mississippi, taking Camaro rides, or snowmobiling - he had fun everywhere he went. He loved to go for road trips with his family, and always knew the best places to stop along the way. A nice hotel pool was a must for family swim time. In later years, he enjoyed visiting Fort Myers Beach, where he would spend many hours swimming in the pool and chatting with friends. He also made sure to cheer on the Hawkeyes every chance he had. Tom especially enjoyed his grandchildren and loved spoiling them. You never knew what exciting new toy would show up at the front door! He was a jack-of-all-trades and master of improvising. Whether it be fixing the house, cobbling things together to fit his needs, or cleaning out the refrigerator for a last-minute dinner, Tom was always full of creative ideas.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sherie; two children, Andy (Danielle) Tujetsch and Ellen (Michael) Sinkey; three grandchildren, Emma Sinkey and Zachary and Jackson Tujetsch; four siblings, Jane (Glen) Stubbe, Joan (Todd) Vorwald, Mike (Toni) Tujetsch, Julie (Rob) Rupert and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials can be sent to Crossing Rivers Health Hospice in Prairie du Chien.
