Kimberly Kay Gardner, 50, of Gays Mills, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Gundersen Health System of La Crosse, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kim was born as an identical twin on Nov. 5, 1970, to Lynn and Gwendolyn Gardner of Gays Mills. She graduated from North Crawford in 1989, where she excelled in sports and gained many lifelong friends. She joined the Army National Guard in 1987, along with her sister. Kim spent her life driving truck, where she ended her career at Pattison Trucking of Prairie du Chien. Kim enjoyed demo derbies, shooting pool, snowmobiling, hunting, riding her bike with her many friends, and spending time with family, especially her two sons, Cody and Jorden Gardner. She was enjoying her new role as Grandma Kim to Weston Lynn, and looked forward to the arrival of her granddaughter, Reagan Kay, in September. Kim was always known for the way she would light up a room just by walking in. She was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Kim is survived by her mother, Gwendolyn Gardner of Gays Mills; her sons, Cody (Morgan) Gardner of Gays Mills and Jorden (Signe) Gardner of Soldiers Grove; her identical twin, Kathleen Fish of Oshkosh; her brother, Brian (Joana) Gardner of Lone Rock; nieces, Ariel Fish of Viroqua, Ashley (Alex) Fish of Berlin and Andrea (Jareth) Fish of Berlin, Shannon (Jeff) Gardner of Stevens Point; nephew, Aaron (Amanda) Buroker of Lone Rock; great-nephew, Douglas Adams; step-daughter, Aleesha (Jordan) Tracy of Gays Mills; and her lifelong friend and “person” Jodie (Joe) Napp of Fennimore.

She was preceded in death by her loving father, Lynn Gardner.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 30, at 2 p.m. at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service. There will be a luncheon at the old community center on Main Street in Gays Mills and a Memory Ride for vehicles of all types to follow the service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
