Kennedy blasts two grand slams to lead Prairie girls

The Prairie du Chien Lady Blackhawks softball team defeated Ithaca 20-1 on Friday thanks in part to Allison Kennedy, who drove in nine runs. She had a single in the first, a grand slam in the first, and a grand slam in the third. 

The Lady Hawks secured their victory thanks to 15 runs in the first inning. Ally Wall, Allison Kennedy, Makenzie Knapp, Hope Martin, Tyra Beers, and Kendall Hill powered the big inning with RBIs.

Tyra Beers took the win on the rubber. She pitched 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 1 hit and struck out 7.

The Lady Hawks scattered 16 hits in the game. Knapp, Kennedy, Hill, Beers and Hall all managed multiple hits. Makenzie Knapp went 4x4.
