Prairie track teams at Platteville Invitational

The girls and boys track and field teams from Prairie du Chien competed in the Platteville Invitational on Saturday.

 

Girls Meet

The girls started with the 4x800 relay. (Earle, Olson, Jenks, Thompson) and picked up 5th place with a 12:02.05. In the 2x100 (Fisher/Jaynes) they picked up 2nd place on the night. The 2x100 Hurdles were next and Schneider/Kamberi ran to a 6th place finish with 49.59. Distance Medley was up next (Thompson, Kramer, Fisher, Katzung) finished with a strong 3rd place finish. Next on the evening was the Sprint Medley (Gilberts, Doeseckle, Kamberi, Schneider) as they picked up an 8th place finish. In the 2x3 200m (Olson/Earle), they picked up a big 2nd place finish on the night with Olson picking up a new “PR - 14:46.40”. 

Next up was the 4x100 relay (Torgerson, Keene, Schneider, Doeseckle) and they picked up 8th place on the night. The 4x400 (Fisher, Kramer, Katzung, Thompson) ran a 4:39.73 and picked up 4th place. 

In field events, Katzung/Torgerson picked up 4th place in the Pole Vault Relay and Kramer/Katzung picked up 2nd place in the Long Jump Relay. Finally, the “Sausage Run” (Keene, Doeseckle, Earle, Torgerson) was here and with a 1:05.45 picked up 5th place.

 

Boys Meet

The boys also started out with the 4x800 (Anthony, Priebe, Kramer, DeHart) and ran a 9:34.38 for 5th place. In the 2x100 (Nesvold/R. Wall), they picked up 6th place with a 24.80. In the Distance Medley ( Nesvold, Blackburn, Smelzer, Steiger) they picked up 8th place with a 4:28.29. In the Sprint Medley (Brewer, Blackburn, Knapp, Smelzer) the team picked up 6th place with a 1:59.92. Next up was the 2x3 200 (DeHart/Steiger) and they picked up 4th place on the night. In the 4x100 Relay (Nesvold, Priebe, O’Brien, Smelzer) the team picked up 8th place with a 52.46.

 In the 4x400 Relay (Priebe, Kramer, Anthony, O’Brien) they picked up 7th place on the night with a 4:10.29. 

In field events, (Nesvold/Schneider) picked up 6th place in the Long Jump Relay, (R. Wall/Brewer) picked up 3rd place in the Pole Vault Relay, (Schneider/Knapp) picked up 7th place in the Shot Put Relay, and (R. Wall/Schneider) picked up 4th place in the Discus Relay on the night. 

Finally, in the Sausage Run (Brewer, R. Wall, Schneider, Knapp) picked up 5th place with a 55.15 on the evening.
