Carol A. Kalish, 78, of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Prairie Maison Nursing Home in Prairie du Chien. 

She was born Dec. 24, 1942, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Elmer and Viola (Tippery) Tesar. She married Ronny Kalish on Feb. 24, 1962, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. Carol worked at Howe Printing in Prairie du Chien for over 35 years. She enjoyed crocheting in her spare time, with an emphasis, on baby blankets. She enjoyed taking bus trips, and gambling on cruises or at casinos. She also enjoyed traveling with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ronny Kalish of Bridgeport; daughter, Corina Kalish of Bagley; grandson, Michael John Kalish of Luana, Iowa; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Tesar Droster of Evansville, Nancy Nelson of Boscobel, Sandy (Francis) Gordon of Janesville, and Linda (Dave) Bawar of Baraboo; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Tesar of Lake City, Mont. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; along with one brother, Dave Tesar.

According to Carol’s wishes, there will be no formal service at this time. However, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Kendall Funeral Service in Boscobel is assisting the family. Online condolences can be sent to kendallfuneralservice.com.
