Catherine 'Cathy' Ann Corpian

Catherine “Cathy” Ann Corpian, McGregor, Iowa, has moved onto her place in heaven to soar with the angels above, as she was an angel here on earth. She will be greeted by her father, Al Johnson, Boscobel; mother, Beverly Hennarichs, Boscobel; and her brother, Mark Johnson, Wisconsin Dells. 

She married Phil Corpian, Boscobel. To this union, she had Kimberly Corpian (William Hubbard, Jr.), Harpers Ferry, Iowa, and Kacey McSorley (Jason McSorley), Onalaska. She is survived by both her daughters; and Karl Jacobson (Jake), McGregor, her significant partner of many years; grandchildren, McKenzie Fuller, La Crosse, Kristian Tesar, Prairie du Chien; Brody McSorley, Onalaska; and Kamryn Tesar, Prairie du Chien. She is also survived by two sisters, Linda Polanco, Onalaska; Lona Adams, Boscobel; and one brother, John Rasque, Kenosha.

Cathy loved to travel with family including trips to Mexico, Virgin Islands, New Orleans and, most recently, South Carolina. We will cherish the many memories we made on those trips. She also loved her time on the river with friends. 

Cathy was owner of Cathy’s Office, on Main Street, in McGregor, where she was often greeted by many who would stop by to have a cup of coffee and shoot the breeze. She was very active in the community of McGregor, throughout the years, including being a member of the City Council, Police Commission, Dock Commission and Friends Helping Friends groups, and much more. Although she was a business owner, her greatest pride was her volunteer efforts and helping others who needed it in any way that she could provide.

Cathy was a powerful example of strength and honesty, and truly a guiding light of kindness for her family and to all of those who loved her. 

There will be a celebration of life, in her honor, at a later date.
