Two men arrested for burglary
Over the past couple of months, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department has been investigating burglarized storage facilities. Recently, sheriff’s department personnel were able to identify multiple involved suspects. Two of the suspects identified were Zachary George, 31, of Petersburg and Brandon Mohr, 26, of Gays Mills.
On Thursday, Aug. 19, sheriff’s department personnel discovered George and Mohr in possession of thousands of dollars of stolen property.
Furthermore, on this date, sheriff’s department personnel received information that some of the stolen property was being transported to a residence in Grant County, Wis. The Grant County Sheriff’s Department assisted by locating and conducting a traffic stop on the transporting vehicle and recovered the rest of the stolen property.
As a result of this investigation, the stolen property was identified and returned to the rightful owners and George and Mohr will be referred to the Crawford County District Attorney’s Office for multiple charges.
These burglaries remain under investigation because other suspects have been identified and will be facing potential charges in the near future.
